Finally, put a fork in me, I'm done!!! Week 6 Of the Go Fit 6 week fitness camp is history. The final tally. Drum roll please......222 pounds.!!! I lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks. My goal was 217, but Rosie, my fiance who is now my wife, (we got married over the labor day week-end) said I looked great in my tuxedo. No beer belly!! Thank you very much. Rosie only lost 4 pounds, but she really didn't need to lose weight, just tone up, and that she did. She reduced her body fat, so now the only fat on her would be me!!!....LOL....Thanks to Leon Daniels, owner and fitness guru at the Go Fit Camp for pushing us to the limit.

A little background first - I got this email from a listener who was offended that Mike and I suggested that kids from Juarez who get a free education should have to pay tuition in order to use El Paso schools. Personally, I think that if we did charge a reasonable tuition for students from Juarez, we would no longer have a budget deficit in our school districts, and who knows, we might even turn a profit. So I got this email, which I included first, and then below that is my response. Hey Gang, Week 5 of the Go Fit Camp is in the books and I've suffered a setback in my effort to lose 20 pounds in 6 weeks. Last week, all I needed was 5 pounds in 2 weeks and I was done. But when I tipped the scales today, I had gained 3 pounds!! What Happened!! I got off the cucumber diet, started back on the low fat diet that my trainer Leon had outlined for me, but I still gained 3 pounds. The only thing that I could figure was the muscle mass gained from 5 weeks of intense work-outs was beginning to show on my body. Leon said muscle weighs more than fat, so that's what happened. Friends have noticed that my stomach gut has gone down, and my face also trimmed down. I guess I shouldn't worry so much about weight loss, and rejoice in getting more toned. Nevertheless, I've still got 1 more week to go. Last week, we got into more kick-boxing. Results so far to date.

Week 1 - Started at 237 pounds. Lost 3 pounds. 234 pounds
